Strength in Chaos

Shop the look: His Collection Apparel

We’re all feeling the impacts of COVID -19 in one way or another. For me, social distancing and self isolation has been quite challenging for my mental health. It seems unreal when you go out to the grocery stores and you see everyone wearing masks and gloves. This surreal and unprecedented situation has solidified the importance of family and togetherness. Also, it has allowed me to see what I am truly made of.

I have been juggling it all from homeschooling, cooking, working from home, and taking classes to obtain a certification. I must say that I am proud of how I have managed to keep my head above water. Although somedays, I just wanted to go someplace in my home and hide. I am grateful for my internal fortitude and strength... a strength which is sometimes silent and steady.

It will take me a while to gradually re-emerge after weeks of isolation and self reflection. Despite my nervousness, I am SO ready for life to get back to some sort of normalcy… although I don’t think things will ever go back to being the way they were.

Sometimes when life or obstacles seem overwhelming and I need additional motivation to press forward, I often rely on a good quote.

What do you rely on to push through difficult times or challenges in life?

“You have power over your mind-not outside events.
Realize this, and you will find strength.”
